1953, Almost Age 1 - Life Begins. Ron's Dad sets him on the fender of our vintage family car

1956 - Ron's sister, Becky Jo, and Ron, on the sidewalk in front of their house in Eudora, Arkasas. No doubt it was someone's birthday.

1957, Age 4 - In our neighbor's backyard. This was a Sunday and Ron was dreading his first committee meeting at church that afternoon. Ha!

1973 - Ministry begins at FBC, Bearden, Arkansas. This was Ron's trailer home behind the church in the summer and on weekends for 2 years. jyams

1973 - Ouachita 50's Pep Rally. Beta's came in on motorcycles. Shown here with Beta brother, John Crisp.

Ron's first church to serve, FBC, Bearden, Arkansas. He worked two years as Min of Music and Youth. It was a great place to serve. Fond Memories!!

1973 - Ron's first camp experience as a youth director. Liberty Association Camp. Shown with missionary Ken Robertson and Pastor Eddie McCord.

Camp Liberty - Ron was worship leader, recreation leader, lifeguard, boys counselor, cook, guard, and everything else you can think of.

Ministry in Bearden included MC'ing a beauty pageant!

1977 - Going to seminary after being out of college for two years presented plenty of studying challenges.

Ron's seminary roommate Milt Loftis (striped shirt) and good friend, Bill Ferguson.

Mike Perry, Ron's Glorieta roommate from 1971. After 6 years apart (he went to Baylor) they were finally together again at Seminary in Ft Worth.

Ron's first summer of seminary was spent ministering at FBC, Stuttgart, Arkansas, as the minister of youth. A great experience!

Renee and Ron perform a Christmas skit, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth". It was a great "hit" done annually.

A youth pastor wears many hats!

At the end of the Stuttgart summer of '77, Renee and Ron marry.

The special thing about this picture is the presence of Ron's Mom and Dad, who both went to heaven in the early 1980's. Ron's Dad was his best man.

After marrying, Ron and Renee moved back to seminary. In the winter of 1978 the first big Ft. Worth snow of the winter. They disliked Ft. Worth.

1978 - FBC Stuttgart makes Ron an offer.....come be our minister of education and we will pay your way to commute back to Ft. Worth. He did!

1985

1983 - Ron goes to Germantown Baptist as Pastor for Administration. The biggest challenge was relocating the church in 1993-95.

1987

Gulf Shores is only a short drive from Memphis. Our first family beach vacation in 1988.

1998 - Ron's 15 anniversary at GBC news release

1993 - Ron turns 40 and his staff helps him celebrate. Notice the mustache. Mid-life crisis!!

Another building project, this time, at home.

In 1993 the church broke ground on it's new facilities and new campus. Ron oversaw construction on the original 320,000 sq. ft. and 64 ac development

2001 - Ron leads a mission trip to the Himalaya Mountains. Shown here with trekker and friend Wes Richardson. The trip was incredible!

2001 - Ron baptizes an American, an Indian national, and a Tibetan Budhist in a cold mountain stream high in the Himalayas. Never done before.

Ron and Rachel sit on a bridge in the Himalayas eating a quick lunch while trekking to a village to show the Jesus Film. Rachel went to China also.

Another building project?

2001 - Muscle Beach. Ron shows his pastoral attributes.

2002 - Ron is awarded the Saucedo Award as national church administrator of the year. He and Renee traveled to San Diego to accept the award.

Arkansas Baptist Newsmagazine News Release - NACBA Award

2002 - Ron leads discovery mission tour to China. Incredible experiences that changed lives forever. The people were beautiful in every way.

Ron plays basketball with Chinese students in Xian. He was the tallest player on the court and the Chinese thought he could play like Michael Jordan!

2002 - Ron travels to Colorado for GBC Young Men's Ski Retreat. He was the "old man" of the group, yet could ski with the best of them.

2003 - NEW MINISTRY. Ron begins www.churchadminpro.com as a ministry to the field of church administration. It has been successful.

2002 - the Crown Jewels of our lives - Cara

Crown Jewels - Rebekah (1982) and Rachel (1985), both college students.

2003 - Ron in Care Bear heaven with Cara. This is how you handle the stress of a long day at the church.

2004 - Ready to begin another 30 years of ministry, beginning with Germantown Baptist Church. What's next?
